The College of Homeland Security brings together all the country's homeland security education. The academy prepares staff from the Police and Border Guard Board, the Rescue Board, the Emergency Response Centre, the Tax and Customs Board and the Prison Service.
The Academy offers everyone interested the opportunity to come as a cadet shadow and spend a day with a cadet. This way you can find out what studying at the Academy means.

Introduction to the Estonian Academy of Defence
At the Estonian Academy of Defence, it is possible to acquire vocational education, higher education and master's degree. Specialist training is available at the College of Rescue, Finance, Justice and Police and Border Guard, while the Institute of Internal Security offers a Master's degree. In addition, the academy offers continuing education and professional research, development and innovation activities.
With the Police and Border Guard College
The Police and Border Guard College trains police officers, and anyone who is open-minded, humane and smart is welcome to study here.

POLICE ENGINEER incl. border guard
(vocational training)
The curriculum of the Police Officer specialisation is highly practical, providing the knowledge, skills and attitudes to work as a police officer in the Police and Border Guard Board. To obtain a professional certificate as a border guard, those wishing to do so can complete an elective module and pass a professional examination as part of their vocational training as a police officer.
College of Justice
Justice College provides the knowledge and skills needed to work in the prison service. It is for people who notice, care and help each other, who have the courage of their convictions, who are brave and ready to intervene when the situation calls for it, and who are loyal to the state.
The College of Justice is:

Join the National Defence Academy!
Candidates who are Estonian citizens and have secondary or equivalent education are welcome to apply to the Academy. Candidates who have not completed secondary education and are in the process of completing it by the summer at the latest may also apply.
- Admission is open from the end of February until the end of June.
- Applications can be submitted via the SAIS.
- Documents will also be accepted on the spot (Kase 61, Tallinn).
You can apply for up to three specialisations at the same time, subject to background and health checks and language requirements. In order to make sure that the future student of the Academy of Internal Affairs is able to cope well with his/her studies linguistically, is strong and healthy, is motivated to study and is suitable for the chosen speciality, the candidate must pass the entrance tests in addition to submitting the application.
